Philanthropy has always been a core value of Lindblad Expeditions and Sven-Olof Lindblad. The company believes that respectful tourism can sustain and even repair a region. Together with National Geographic they formed the LEX/NG Joint Fund for Exploration and Conservation. Both organizations are committed to working collaboratively through the fund to support initiatives around the world, with a special focus on the regions they explore together; thereby actively impacting the areas they care so deeply about. To date, they have raised more than $9 million dollars to support local efforts in the destinations where it travels.
