Mountaineering
If you want a serious in-the-field education in mountaineering and the complementary skills of leadership and risk management, we have what you’re looking for. Ranging from 14 to 135 days, our wilderness workshop-tours impart the technical and experiential lessons needed to enable participants to live and travel responsibly and efficiently in challenging mountain terrain; our hands-on, learn-by-doing approach means that our graduates get the skills they need to be competent, responsible wilderness travelers long after their course is over. With “classrooms” ranging from Alaska to India, and Patagonia to the Pacific Northwest, we offer a variety of mountain settings and experiences. Adventure Collection members also offer mountaineering-oriented trips to Africa’s Mt. Kilimanjaro, Bhutan, and Canada’s Columbia Mountains.
