A guiding company at our core, CMH Heli-Skiing & Summer Adventures have been introducing travellers to the mountains of western Canada since 1965.
In 1965 a young mountain guide, Hans Gmoser, lead the first group of skiers on a Heli-Skiing adventure in the Bugaboo Mountains of BC, Canada. From there, the idea was born to create CMH Heli-Skiing. From our modest beginnings in a logging camp at the base of the Bugaboo Spires, we have grown to 11 beautiful lodges in BC’s Columbia Mountain Range with something for everyone. Steep Weeks in the Cariboo Lodge, Small Group Heliskiing in Kootenay, McBride, Valemount, as well as the Monashees and Revelstoke, Christmas Heli-ski Trips for Families, Heli-Assisted Ski Touring and more. Our accommodation ranges from in-town hotels to remote backcountry lodges accessible only by helicopter.
In 1978, Hans started to take guests into the mountains each summer and Heli-Hiking was born. In the last 30+ years our summer experiences have evolved to include Family Adventures, High-Flying Via Ferrate Adventures, Girlfriend Getaways, Painting and Photography Workshops as well as Short Escapes for hikers and walkers of all abilities and interests.
